How awesome would it be if it turned out that corn was the dominant species on Earth? Manipulating everyone and everything into planting more and more of it, until such time as it gained emergent intelligence and took over the planet?

I mean, it probably wouldn’t be awesome for us, but it’d just be objectively very funny.
